OUR STORY
In Neo-Aramaic, a group of modern Aramaic dialects including Assyrian (Sureth), Chaldean, and Turoyo, “Qesa” means wood.
It is the material our watches are crafted from, using woods that were present in both ancient and modern Mesopotamia (Bit Nahrein).
Qesa is more than a timepiece carved from wood. It refers to a region with one of the oldest cultural histories in the world, the land between the Tigris and Euphrates.
That region is the origin of ancient civilizations such as the Assyrian and Babylonian empires. Its cultural influence continues to this day through the Assyrian, Chaldean, and Syriac communities, who live across the world while maintaining their language, identity, and traditions.
Qesa is inspired by that continuity. Not as a reconstruction of the past, but as a connection between historical origin and living culture today.
This is the purpose behind Qesa. Not only as a watch brand, but as a way of expressing heritage through design.
With every Qesa watch sold, a portion of the profit goes to initiatives that support Assyrian, Chaldean, and Syriac communities working to preserve language, culture, and identity.
A Qesa watch is not just about telling time. It is about carrying meaning forward.
Each second is a reminder:
What continues to exist is what we choose to keep alive.
Together, we make the future—
Carved in Wood. United by Heritage. One Tick at a Time.
